Matthias Küntzel is a political scientist and historian. In 2009, he published “The Germans and Iran. History and Present of a Fateful Friendship” and in 2019, “Nazis and the Middle East. How Islamic Anti-Semitism emerged”. In 2022, the German-Israeli Society (AG Hannover) awarded him the Theodor Lessing Prize for enlightened thought and action. Klangteppich V invites Matthias Küntzel to a lecture and talks with the artists and the team of the festival about propaganda of the National Socialists and their relations to Iran.
