Pardis Zaghampour

Pardis Zarghampour is a singer and freelance author. She was born in Dehdasht in southwestern Iran and came to Germany as a child. Since leaving school, she has volunteered as a language and cultural mediator and as a trainer for democracy and diversity; in Cologne, she founded the Intersectional Feminist Book Club. She studied law, was an author and moderator for the Federal Agency for Civic Education, and has been running her own German-Iranian podcast “dichlieben” since 2021. Pardis is Lur and cultivates her Luri heritage in everyday life and through music. For Klangteppich she develops “Ilyad”: the word is a composition of Il – tribe that passes through Zagros and Yad – the memory of it.
