Samira Memarzadeh

Samira Memarzadeh studied harp in Frankfurt and London and is at home in orchestras, chamber music as well as transcultural music ensembles. She is also constantly discovering new possibilities on her instrument in musical styles ranging from folk to minimal music. In addition to her concert activities, she has been working as a music mediator at the music initiative “Bridges – Music Connects” since 2018 and at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf since 2021. She is in demand as a transcultural music mediator and speaker in collaborations with various players in the music scene (including Heidelberger Frühling, Netzwerk Junge Ohren). Parallel to her music studies, she also completed a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies and Ethnology at the Albrecht-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. For Klangteppich V she is developing the performance “liminal practice” together with Hans Unstern.
