The composer Arshia Samsaminia, born 1989 in Tehran, deals with questions of transferring the specific tunings and intervals of Persian music into notation systems of European music and into software used in compositions with electronics. For Johannes Fink and Nikolaus Schlierf, Samsaminia composes an electroacoustic work in which they gradually change instruments from double bass to cello, from violin to viola. Johannes Fink is a sought-after musician in ensembles of improvised music, for example with pianist Aki Takase or saxophonist Daniel Erdmann.
Nikolaus Schlierf plays in ensembles of contemporary music and baroque music, he is a founding member of the Sonar Quartet and a regular guest of the ensembles Lux:NM and Adapter. Both musicians compose for ensembles in which they also perform, Fink for his own trio and Schlierf for the Sonar Quartet.
