Anna Sharifi is a Danish-Iranian producer and songwriter. As a singer she was active in the jazz scene, and since moving to Berlin she has devoted herself intensively to electronic club music. As a solo artist she combines techno with Scandinavian melodies and Iranian timbre. In 2015 she founded the duo uon together with the Danish pianist and indie rocker Nina Branner in Copenhagen. Since 2018 the duo has been giving concerts in Denmark, Sweden and Berlin. For Klangteppich II, Sharifi and Branner integrated a drum set into their music for the first time and performed on stage together with Lizzy. In addition, Sharifi wrote songs on poetry by the Iranian poets Forough Farrokhzad and Simin Behbahani for the first time.
